About Koeze: From Eggs and Butter to Natural Peanut Butter, Gourmet Nuts and Fine Chocolates

The Koeze Company spans nine decades and four generations. From butter and eggs in the beginning to our current product lines featuring cashews, mixed nuts, chocolate confections, and natural peanut butter, Koeze Company’s products have evolved over the years, but the company’s commitment to quality has never wavered.

Throughout Koeze Company’s 95-year history, tradition has mixed with change to create the recipe for the company’s success. Over the years, the transformations have ranged from the company’s name to its assortment of products. For example, Jeff Koeze’s grandfather, Albert S. Koeze, changed the company name to the Albert Koeze Produce Company after he took over the business in 1915. The company sold salad dressing, vinegar, and peanut butter before shifting to the current product lines. Koeze Company has gone on to become a prime supplier of cashews, mixed nuts, and chocolate confections for fund raising and also launched a national mail order catalog in 1980. The company employs about 35 full-time workers year-round with an additional 85 employees during the holiday season.

Jeff Koeze, who took over as president of the company in May 1997, has plans to continue the company’s history of mixing tradition with change. He plans steady growth for the company in the ever-growing specialty foods market. One of our traditions has been a willingness to adapt to meet the changing needs of our community of customers and we intend to continue that tradition while maintaining our emphasis on quality.
